Ken Hodkinson created Bin’Fa in 1971. He published his first version in 1977. Avalon Hill cam along and published it again under the name Hexagony, but it was not the success they had hoped. Ken took to reigns again and published the Seacoast Edition. With that publication, and moving forward, it seems that about every 14 years Ken releases a new version with fresh ideas and directions. At over 90 years old, this man shown no signs of slowing down. It is just that other projects (such as The Reading Game) take up most of his time these days.
His daughter, Erika, is as good a partner and companion as one could have! She is passionate about her father’s projects and does everything in her power to ensure that Ken’s games, ideas, and boundless creativity are shared with the world.
They have graciously handed me the reigns of this game. I plan to give it my all in an attempt to live up to the legacy of these wonderful human beings.
There simply are no better people on this earth.
